Oaxaca - Mosaic of Diversity

I completed this plein air painting high above the city of Oaxaca during a visit in 2022. A land of vibrant colors, overflowing arts, vast multiculturalism, struggle and abundance. This piece reflects the paradoxes of this magical place featuring a still life of a juicy, bright and supple papaya with a spiked cactus, in the background are the gorgeous Sierra Madre de Oaxaca mountains.
